Character. Nannup's jarrah-forest gravel in the south-west of WA. 125 km with 3,000 m+ climbing through karri and jarrah forest on fast-but-hilly forestry roads and singletrack-adjacent gravel. Conditions. Late-autumn Western Australia: 12–20 °C, transition from the long dry summer toward winter rain — damp years are possible but dry more typical. Forest shade keeps temperatures moderate even on exposed sections.
If you wax — ZFC-recommended path. 125 km / 3,000 m is a serious single-day event — comfortably inside top-wax SAL. Pre-event wax, no mid-ride top-up required for most riders. Dry-year default; if autumn rain arrives, carry Synergetic (oil) as the usual wet-day rescue.
