If you wax — ZFC-recommended path. 250 km on smooth dry tarmac is a clean test-case for top wax performance. Pre-event immersive wax; a small Synergetic bottle for the back quarter is sensible insurance rather than a plan — on a fine spring day most riders won't touch it.
